Here's Scott's full interview

Scott, welcome to Stunning Men and a big thank you for taking the time to do the interview. You are originally from the UK but have you ever moved or lived away from home ... (please add a little bit of basic bio)
I live in Leicester UK and am a fitness and muscle model. I was a ladies hairdresser for top salons in my city as a young man. I loved it, also had a great time doing the London thing with all the top guys. Then I found boxing. You can Google Scott King boxing  or search YouTube for Scott King boxing to see some videos of me back in the day.

That's awesome! First thing first ... how did you get into modelling?
I began as an athlete in the sport of boxing, then I retired and changed my look. This change lead me to modelling. I wanted to express myself through telling stories in my photos. I then started to build my portfolio, not really out of vanity, but through sheer love of creating, modelling a story. Soon thereafter I started my Facebook page then my pictures were suddenly being shared by a lot of Facebook pages, getting lots of attention. I was so happy how my photos were received. This leads me here today and the start of my next chapter.

What do you enjoy the most about it?
I enjoy the freedom of expressing feelings and emotions through pictures. I also enjoy working with other great industry people, especially creative photographers and talented models.

Let’s talk about photo shoots then ... how do you prepare for them?
Preparing for photo shoots takes a bit of time doing research on the mood and emotion for the concept. The goal is realise a story, convey a story, be it romance, intensity or seduction. The challenge is to communicate, to bring these elements to my presentation and posing in front of the camera.

I think you have stunning classic looks? What do you think is your best asset?
Thank you for the compliment. I just do what I have to do to stay fit and shoot ready. I feel my best assets are my eyes and smile. I intend to present more of these features in future shoots to diversify use of expressions, offering less intensity and more personality in my images.

And if you could change one thing about your body, what would that be?
I think I am significantly blessed. I have great symmetry in my legs and throughout my torso. However for every shoot I change something about my physique. Sometimes I go harder in appearance when competing or doing sports shoots. Then sometimes I work on creating a softer physique when preparing for editorial and natural concept type shoots.

Well ... you have a stunning physique! How do you keep in shape and healthy? Do you practice any sport?
Thank you, such kind words. Although retired from competing in the sport, I still consider myself a boxer and routine practitioner of Mixed Martial Arts. I train 3 times a day, do 6am cardio, 1pm resistance exercises followed by 6pm yoga. I am sponsored by NRG Fuel. This takes care of my required supplements and I eat clean. Having a relaxed lifestyle helps keep me grounded as well.

What are your top three favourite gym exercises and why?
My top three favourite exercises are maximum rep burns, it really gets the adrenaline going. I really like squats, they are key to improving the legs and the burn out is amazing. Lastly, sprints on the tread mill for cardio boosts fat burning after a work out.

And what’s the best form of cardio for you?
Actually, I do a big range of cardio, from body pump, sprints on the tread mill, boxing and maximum repetition interval training. These cardio exercises are key to maintaining consistency in my build.

Now how do you keep motivated?
I can't give all of my secrets away. But I will reveal that I practice positive living. No matter what confronts me or gets in the way, I always step up and face the challenge. I am a motivated man with strong belief in myself. I maintain daily adherence to a specific set of personal goals and principles.

Is it difficult for you to fit training and fitness into your life?
Fit training and fitness is my way of life. I am a full time model. I train everyday. As a child at 7 years old I began learning karate then moved through all the related disciplines. This is how is always been for me. Fitness is my life.

We know that you guys keep a healthy lifestyle ... but if you had a cheat day, what would be your favourite food?
My favourite, well I love going to see a film with my son Connor, eating Haribo's and ice cream. Admittedly, I am a foodie, so sometimes I have more than one cheat day. I then have to do the extra work in the gym but sharing the time with him is well worth it. My son means the world to me.

How do you approach a challenge?
I face challenges head on. I move through them step by step, one solution at a time. In the gym I challenge myself each and every day. Facing life challenges is part of healthy living. This is how we grow, how we learn, how we evolve to become prepared and stronger today to face tomorrow's challenges.

Do you have any role models? People who inspire you?
Photographer Simon Barnes of Hotsnapz Photography has been my friend and mentor in modelling. He has been a true inspiration to me, from the beginning of my career to this day. I have learned so much from him.

Now a few quick fun questions if we may? Do you think you are a good date?
Ha ha, well frankly I am too busy to date. Many think male models are all about scoring the girls. Well, not this guy. At this stage in my life I am too focused on my job. But I suppose one day that special lady will come along and sweep me off my feet.

What do you think is the secret to a good relationship?
For any relationship, be it friendly or romantic, being true, happy with yourself first, being loving, respectful, faithful and the best friend you can be are all key components required of each partner to have a chance at a good relationship. Nothing is guaranteed, except our capacity to give and respond to love.

Are you a brief man or a boxer kinda guy?
I am a brief guy; sprayed on! (Scott laughs)

Your favourite song or piece of music to play while training or running?
I love pumping House Big Room Beats. It puts me into beast mode.

What kind of movies do you like?
Vampire movies are my favourite; anything blood sucking, LOL.

What can’t you live without?
I can't live without my son Connor. He's my best mate and I'm so proud of him. He comes to the gym with me and does all the training on a miniature scale, of course. At 9 years old he won his first MMA competition. He's a great kid and I love him dearly.

Could you finish these two sentences for us? You wouldn’t know, but I’m very good at …
There are a couple of things I can mention here. You wouldn't know this but I am a big fan of superman, the “Man of Steal”. I collect comics, only vintage collections, and follow all the latest news and reviews in the Marvel DC circles. Secondly, I have a passion for cooking. My mum had us boys, from an early age, help make the dinners at home. We prepared vegetables, baked cakes and did everything else to help with meals. My mum was a trained cook. She was amazing in the kitchen. She often told us “when you all get older you will appreciate knowing how to cook.”  She wasn't wrong. We learned how to prepare cuisine in Italian, Indian, English and many other recipes. I can cook almost anything. My friends always ask “when are you cooking for us?” Cooking is a creative skill I really enjoy sharing.

Now ... I’m just not very good at …
I am not good at making tea. I hate it. However all my friends want cup after cup of it. I can't get them to like coffee. I am a coffee man. I love it.

What three words describe you best?
I think my best three descriptions are loving, caring and fun.

One last question Scott, where do you see yourself and what would you like to be doing in 10 years time?
In 10 years time I would like to be a gym owner. I am presently working very hard to achieve this.  Even in slightly older age I feel I can still help the new lads coming into this sport and into what I do in my training.

Scott, it has been a real pleasure to interview you! Thank you for your time and for being such good sport. All the best for the future!
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to have my persona and photos featured here at Stunning Men. I would also like to thank Simon Barnes and Stephanie Pantling for the excellent work on the photos displayed here. Lastly, I would like to thank Lamont Pinckney of Crew Models International for his support and for having such an immediate positive impact on this next step in my career.
