William Gutierrez Levy

I have resisted to post about William since I created this blog not because I didn’t think he was worthy but because there have been so many things about him on the net and he can be seen everywhere. But he is such a stunning guy, I can no longer hold on ...

Actor and model William Gutierrez Levy was born on August 29, 1980 in Cojimar, Lan Havana, Cuba and is the oldest of four siblings. He moved to Miami before his 15th birthday thanks to a permit granted to his stepfather (a dissident) for him and his family to leave Cuba. He attended Barbara Goleman Senior High in Florida where he pursued his childhood passion: baseball. He studied Business Administration on an athletic scholarship. After two years, he dropped out of college to study acting in Los Angeles; he later also took acting classes in Miami and Mexico City (CEA, Televisa).

In 2006, Christopher Alexander, his son with Mexican-American actress Elizabeth was born.

William worked as a model for the agency Next Models and later participated in two reality shows transmitted by Telemundo: Isla de la Tentación and Protagonistas de Novela 2.

From that time onwards, the actor has always been busy training and working in the Entertainment Industry. He was later signed on by one of the biggest and most influential publicity agents in the world. He travels abroad to tread the catwalk for large and important designer and publicity companies.Bold

In 2005 he performed at the Centro de Bellas Artes in San Juan Puerto Rico, starring in the play La Nena Tiene Tumbao.

William’s eagerness to work in the Latin market brought him back to the city of Miami, where he has taken part in three productions in a row for Venevision Productions, the channel for which he was then exclusive. He guest starred in the TV series "Acorralada", "Olvidarte jamás" and "Mi Vida Eres Tu".

He was chosen in 2006 by the Spanish language edition of People Magazine as one of the sexiest bachelors. In March 2007, he appeared in his first English language film.

In 2008, William participated in his first film Retazos de Vida directed by Viviana Cordero. The movie was filmed in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

He was invited by television producer Carla Estrada to participate in Pasión; his breakthrough in Mexican soap operas. His performance was so well received that Televisa later cast him as the lead in Cuidado con el Angel with actress and ex- RBD singer Maite Perroni. The show was first broadcasted in Mexico on June, 2008 and began airing in the United States on September, 2008 on Univision.

In June 2009 William made the telenovela Sortilegio (Love Spell) with actress Jacqueline Bracamontes (Miss Mexico 2000). In November of the same year, the actor lent his voice to the animated movie Planet 51 in its Spanish version. Also from November 2009 to February 2010, William toured several Mexican cities with the play Un Amante a la Medida.

For 2010 Dolce & Gabanna chose William as the Hispanic of the moment for its advertising campaign.

William was the exclusive artist for the NBC network in Los Angeles for two years. Afterwards, he went to Puerto Rico to appear in a theatre production in which he was part of the last Clic of Ricardo Montaner "When You are By My Side", recorded in Miami.

The great passion of this talented young man apart from acting, is baseball a sport in which at one time he hoped to play professionally.

Surprisingly, when asked if he considers himself attractive, William replied, "I do not know, it is now that I have come to believe that story, because people say I am beautiful. Actually, I do not consider myself beautiful, I am a normal guy."

This I find very very hard to believe ... and at any rate I disagree with him!
